When Zipnosis, a Minneapolis-based medical technology company specializing in virtual care technologies and services, was looking for a new space downtown Minneapolis, they found a very unique building in the newly constructed T3 Building. The T3 Building was one of the Midwest's first office buildings built entirely out of brick and timber. These construction materials delivered the warmth and authenticity of the old warehouse to Zipnosis with all the modern amenities.
Working with Perkins & Will, Fraser Morris and JTH Lighting Alliance, the management team of Zipnosis wanted to find a very clean and simplistic way to light their space while still highlighting the wood structure and the brick walls that are such a key design element of the T3 Building design. Lighting the open office is the H.E. Williams AX2 LED Linear Indirect Light Fixture. This fixture offers a sleek linear design with clean lines and styling while still offering the performance needed to efficiently light the space.
Illuminating the entrance area, main conference room and perimeter walkways is the Artemide Globe fixture, which was used with a LED Verbatim replacement lamp. The modern design of this globe offers a unique twist to the traditional globe while still offering the efficiency of LED technology.
The line of interior conference room walls are all illuminated with the Pinnacle Lighting Edge Evolution Wall Grazer. This fixture again offers a clean and simple line of light that does an exceptional job of illuminating these brick walls and white boards.
Finally, Zipnosis was looking for an affordable and simple lighting control/daylight harvesting system in the space. JTH was able to offer them a Leviton Controls system that satisfied both of their requirements for controlling light in the space.
