What better place for an architectural design firm to call home than the iconic building at 100 Washington Square in Minneapolis, designed by famed architect Minori Yamasaki! Miller Dunwiddie now calls this iconic modernist office tower home after an extensive build out of 10,000 square feet of space on the 5th floor. We were indeed fortunate to be able to work with Michael DiBlasi from Schuler Shook and Daniel Green and Katie Hunsley from Miller Dunwiddie in providing lighting throughout the new digs.
The design team selected Pinnacle Lighting's Edge EX3 Series, surface, pendant, and recessed, for the majority of general illumination in open office areas, conference rooms and training spaces. Integrating the fixture with a customized linear wood slat ceiling in the main work space reinforced the syncopated pattern of the ceiling design. Pendant mounted fixtures were also used as primary lighting within the exposed ceiling areas of the main reception and heavily used product library.
ConTech R4SQ square down lights were installed in a large format walnut panel ceiling over the board room table while the Pinnacle Edge Wall Wash provided side wall illumination. To ensure long life, all of the lighting fixtures used throughout the office utilized solid state lighting technology (LED) with 3K color temperature with 90+ CRI.
